Introduces the general biology, adaptations, ecology and taxonomy of the Western Australian flora, with particular emphasis on land vascular plants. This unit provides a foundation for understanding botanical terminology, reading taxonomic literature, and identifying introduced and native Western Australian plants. The ecology of the native flora will be introduced with an emphasis on the role fire, soil nutrients, drought and pollen transfer have had on the evolution of plant traits. -- Course Website
